Quality Control Inspector 

CTL Amedica is an ISO 13485 certified and FDA registered Medical Device Company with offices in Addison, Texas. CTL designs, manufactures and distributes medical device products and systems for spinal surgeons; specifically implants and devices.

CTL Amedica is currently seeking a highly motivated, organized individual with a great attitude and experience to join our growing team. We are seeking a quality control inspector to conduct dimensional and visual inspections in accordance with policy and procedures.  

 

Duties:

  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications

  • Perform first article, in-process and final inspections

  • Accept or Reject parts based on print specifications

  • Completing detailed Nonconformance Reports

  • Participate in problem solving to support Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) activities

  • Understand, support and comply with ISO 13485 and FDA Quality Systems Regulations as they pertain to position duties

  • Recommends changes to policies and procedures

  • Participate and lead continuous improvement efforts  

 

Qualifications:

  • 1 to 3 years related experience and/or training as a Quality Control Inspector

  • Experience working in regulated environment preferred (Medical Device, Aviation, Automotive)  

  • Proficient in the use of measurement tools (Calipers, Micrometers, Gage Pins, GO-NO/GO, etc.)

  • Basic knowledge in the use of a Vision Systems and Comparators (Ability to program a plus)

  • Basic understanding of GD&T specifications

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Intermediate skill level in Excel and Microsoft Office applications

  • Excellent math skills required

  • Experience working in Lean Manufacturing environment preferred  

  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

 

Math and reading skills required for OP, GMP and Work Traveler comprehension. Ability to contribute to department success in a team environment and perform tasks at a productive level under demanding conditions is mandatory. Must be self-motivated and willing to learn new and changing responsibilities. Requires a demonstrated ability to self-direct daily activities to meet production schedule. Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), and other regulatory requirements.
