Director of Operations

CTL Amedica is an ISO 13485 certified and FDA registered Medical Device Company with offices in Addison, Texas. CTL designs, manufactures and distributes medical device products and systems for spinal surgeons; specifically implants and devices.

 

 

CTL Amedica is seeking a Director/VP of Operations to support our continued growth. The Director of Operations directs all aspects of the company’s operations, including, but not limited to supply chain management, logistics, and production planning and inventory control.

 

Duties:

  • Establish a world-class operations organization focused on manufacturing, engineering, supply chain and operations

  • Provides leadership, direction and administration while focusing on a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement

  • Monitor flow of products in and out of the warehouse  

  • Anticipate capacity requirements to support growth, plan and forecast inventory purchases

  • Collaborate with sales to ensure meeting sales objectives

  • Provide strategic and hands on tactical daily leadership around distribution, quality and regulatory

  • Manage a team of employees in the Operations department

  • Experience in leading and developing teams, budget and resource planning

  • Institute marketing leading best practices to maximize quality and ensure operations are complaint with regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO and CE)

  • Negotiate with vendors

  • Analyze internal inventory levels and plan accordingly

  • Identify areas for operational and process improvements

  • Work with finance team to drive cost savings and increase efficiency

  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Regulatory, Quality, Finance and Engineering

  • Develop training processes for new Operations employees

  • Manage logistics

  • Maximize department productivity and improve corporate results

  • Monitor and report monthly metrics to leadership teams

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, engineering, or technology or related field

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of medical device experience in leading operations with a focus on spine, manufacturing, assembly, testing, inventory control, systems administration, purchasing and process improvement

  • Proven experience successfully leading sites certified to ISO 13485

  • Technical acumen, including interpretation of drawings, technical instructions and diagrams

  • Strong record of accomplishment of successful new regulated medical device launches

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of FDA regulatory requirements

  • High level leadership and decision making skills

  • In depth knowledge of Workplace Safety and applicable OSHA Standards

  • Experience working in medical device global markets

  • Complete understanding of ERP systems

  • People and project management experience

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills to work with teams and employees of all levels

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
